The charger series VAC-F is designed for installation in the vehicle and complies with all regulations of the FNFW of the valid fire brigade standard DIN 14679 for charging and trickle charging of auxiliary batteries and starter batteries in intervention vehicles.

Description

  • Charging programs No. 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 (start, gel, AGM, acid) adjustable
  • Outstanding charging technology
  • All-automatic continuous operation for permanent readiness for use of the vehicle
  • The charging voltage is exempt from peaks, and it is controlled in such a way, that overcharging is excluded
  • Trouble-free operation and simultaneous supply of the units being connected to the vehicle's board mains supply
  • 1 Main charging port and 1 additional auxiliary charging port "S" for support charging and trickle charge of a starter battery (max. 2 A)
  • If required, the starter battery can also be charged with full charging current (short stop period of the vehicle)
  • Separate signalling port +86 (SP) for motor locking while the vehicle is connected to mains
  • Optical and acoustical warning in case of battery failures and operating errors
  • Precise battery temperature compensation, temperature sensor is included in the standard delivery
  • Battery regeneration in case of extended stop periods twice a week
  • Compensation of the voltage loss on the charging cables ensuring exact observation of the charging voltage rates
  • Separation of the batteries in case of power failure, overheating, incorrect behaviour (safety relay for each charging port)
  • Power pack function allows continued operation of the consumers and preservation of data, such as in case of battery replacement
  • Manual charging start for totally discharged battery according to DIN 14679
  • Variable fitting position
  • The electronic system is protected against humidity
  • Intelligent microprocessor control observing the simultaneous supply of consumers
  • The mains/charging capacity can be reduced in case of low capacity or restricted power supply, such as in case of weakly protected country current supply , generator operation etc. (power limit function)

5 „MOTOR“: Charging Program for Lead, Acid/Lead-Acid Batteries, Characteristic Line IU1oU2 Characteristic line similar to dynamo/generator for mobile application (acid accumulation) with particularly low maintenance (battery gassing, water consumption). Charging and
conservation of charge of starter batteries in intervention vehicles, according to a customary suggestion of the Standard Committee Fire Protection (FNFW). For conventional, standard
starter batteries, starter batteries being "absolutely maintenance-free", "maintenance-free according to EN", "maintenance-free according to DIN", "maintenance-free", "lowmaintenance".
6 „L“: Closed Acid/Lead-Acid Batteries with Water Consumption
L = low according to DIN EN 50342-1, characteristic line IUoU2
 Characteristic line with average level U1 for acid batteries for chargers being installed in the vehicle or external chargers at a permanent location.
