In addition to the extremely compact version A (input/output 12 V with 20 A power), VOTRONIC DC voltage converters are available in every 12 V/24 V combination and enable the operation of corresponding consumers with a continuous power of up to 25 A or 45 A without their own battery. In addition, they supply a stabilised and smoothed DC voltage, even if the on-board voltage is disturbed or subject to significant fluctuations.
DC/DC converters are power supplies for DC consumers that require a specific, stable fixed voltage or do not have their own voltage regulation or adequate overvoltage protection. They can be used for many DC devices that are normally used in the home and are supplied with an external plug-in switching power supply. The prerequisite for this is that the adjustable nominal voltage of the DC/DC converter matches the DC end devices used. In mobile operation, this eliminates the need for “double conversion”, e.g. via an inverter, to supply such 12V (or 24V) DC devices, for which only the original plug-in power supply would otherwise be available.
Possible applications include: WiFi SIM routers, LED strips or RGBW control devices, fans (e.g. in dry separation toilets), smart voice controls, consumer electronics (e.g. mini projectors or satellite receivers) or as optional or additional surge protection (e.g. for roof fans, CO2 warning devices).
