In addition to the extremely compact version A (input/output 12 V with 20 A power), the VOTRONIC DC/DC converters are available in any 12 V/24 V combination and enable the operation of corresponding consumers with a continuous power of up to 25 A or 45 A without their own battery. In addition, they supply a stabilised and smoothed DC voltage, even if the vehicle electrical system voltage is disturbed or subject to considerable fluctuations.

DC/DC converters are a power supply unit for DC consumers that require a specific, stable fixed voltage or do not have their own voltage regulation or adequate overvoltage protection. It can be used for many DC devices that are normally used in the home and are supplied with an external plug-in switching power supply. The prerequisite for this is that the adjustable nominal voltage of the DC/DC converter matches the DC end devices used. In mobile operation, this eliminates the need for “double conversion”, e.g. via an inverter to supply 12V (or 24V) DC devices for which the original plug-in power supply unit would otherwise only be available. Possible applications are e.g: WiFi SIM routers, LED strips or RGBW control units, fans (e.g. for dry toilets), smart voice controls, entertainment electronics (e.g. mini projectors or satellite receivers) or as optional or additional overvoltage protection (e.g. for roof fans, CO2 warning devices).
