Level measuring systems – Tank-Sensor FW
Tank sensor for extinguishing water tanks
The FW tank sensor was specially designed for measuring the fill level of extinguishing water tanks in fire engines. It has no mechanically moving parts and is suitable for any tank material. Depending on the situation, it can be mounted on top of the tank or close to it. The measurement is carried out via a flexible measuring probe suspended in the tank. The measurement is completely pressure-independent, so that there is no falsification of the measured value in the event of pressurised refuelling or overpressure. The FW tank sensor supplies continuous standard signals 0…10 V or 4…20 mA (switchable) linear to the fill level for compatible display and evaluation devices. The supplied measuring probe is simply shortened to the desired tank height and precisely calibrated using separate adjusters for “empty” and “full”. The minimum and maximum fill levels are freely adjustable. The electronics are completely waterproof and vibration-proof and protected against reverse polarity, overvoltage, short circuit or overload. The connections are made using PG screw connections.
