The VOTRONIC charge controllers are suitable for all commercially available solar modules. Two control methods are available: The simple, inexpensive series controller technology (SR series) and the technically complex Maximum Power Point control method (MPP series). The powerful charge controllers of the SR and MPP series have an additional “AES” switching output as a special feature. This controls the automatic switchover from gas to 12 V operation for absorber refrigerators with “AES” if there is sufficient excess power from the solar modules.
